Regional tourism initiatives expand in Chile and Venezuela

In Chile, the municipality of Río Bueno is strengthening binational ties with Argentina to promote regional tourism. During a Binational Integration Committee meeting in Valdivia, officials established plans for the first Binational Workshop for Tourism Entrepreneurs, scheduled to take place in 2027. The event will be hosted at the Lago Puyehue Educational Aquarium, the first freshwater aquarium in Chile.

In Venezuela, the city of Maracaibo will host the 'Maracaibo 2026' tourism showcase starting September 25. Organized by the municipal tourism directorate, the event aims to facilitate business meetings between travel agencies, hotels, and service providers at the Oceanía Boutique Hotel. The showcase will also include cultural exhibitions, traditional music, and gastronomy to celebrate International Tourism Day and strengthen the city's competitive position.
