Regional tourism initiatives launched in Aragua and Maule

Regional authorities in Aragua, Venezuela, and Maule, Chile, have launched initiatives to bolster their local tourism sectors through specialized events and business networking.

In Aragua, the official programming for International Tourism Month includes gastronomic fairs, environmental workshops, and training sessions. Key activities include the IV Gastronomic and Cultural Fair of Arepa and Chocolate on September 12, and the “Con Sabor Aragüeño” Gastronomic Forum on September 17. The agenda also features the “Ruta de los Libertadores” historical route and specialized tours focusing on products with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), such as coffee and cacao.

In the Maule Region of Chile, the “Maule Day” event brought together 46 tourism operators and service providers at Viña Miguel Torres in Curicó. Organized by the Maule Regional Productive Development Corporation (CRDP Maule) and Sernatur Maule, the event facilitated approximately 260 bilateral meetings. The initiative aims to create commercial alliances, promote regional tourism offerings to visitors from Santiago and beyond, and strengthen the local economy through entrepreneurship.
