Regional tourism initiatives launched in Inhambane and Anadia
In Mozambique, Famba Tours is implementing a community-based tourism model in the Inhambane province. This initiative aims to connect visitors with local culture through immersive experiences such as traditional gastronomy, agriculture, music, dance, and history. The program involves residents directly in service provision, allowing families to host visitors and enabling local farmers, cooks, and artists to share their expertise. The goal is to ensure tourism revenue remains within the communities while preserving local customs.
In Portugal, the municipality of Anadia is hosting automotive-themed tourism events. The 1st Bairrada Route for Fiat Barchettas will take place from September 11 to 13, featuring visits to regional landmarks and museums. Additionally, the 10th Bairrada Harley-Davidson meeting will pass through the municipality on September 12, organized by the VRiders Bairrada Group to promote the region's landscapes, heritage, and gastronomy.
