Regional tourism initiatives scheduled for Pajottenland and Zwinstreek

Various regional tourism initiatives are scheduled for late 2026 in Belgium, focusing on local heritage and culinary traditions.

In the Pajottenland and Zennevallei regions, the ‘Month of Lambic’ will take place throughout October. Organized by VISIT Vlaams-Brabant, the event highlights local lambic and geuze beer culture through brewery visits, tastings, and organized walking and cycling routes. HUB Brewers in Sint-Laureins-Berchem is among the participants, offering an open brewery day on October 18, 2026, featuring tours of historical brewing facilities and tastings.

Simultaneously, the Zwinstreek region will host an experiential month from October 3 to November 8, 2026. This cross-border program involves sixty hosts across areas including Knokke-Heist, Damme, Maldegem, Sint-Laureins, and the Dutch municipality of Sluis. Activities include nature walks, cooking workshops, foraging with guides, and heritage tours exploring Roman traces and local landmarks. The initiative aims to present the Landschapspark Zwinstreek as a cohesive destination through collaborative local partnerships.
