Regional Training Center Münsterland reaches topping-out milestone

The Regional Training Center Münsterland (RTZ Münsterland) reached a significant milestone with a topping-out ceremony held in Nottuln on September 14. The new facility is designed to provide highly realistic training conditions for approximately 3,000 police officers from Münster, Hamm, and the districts of Borken, Coesfeld, Steinfurt, and Warendorf.

Constructed on a 33,000-square-meter site near the A43 motorway, the center will feature five training buildings totaling roughly 10,000 square meters. Key facilities include a multi-lane shooting range, a training house with a drivable hall and ring road, and a specialized hall dedicated to training for active shooter (Amok) and other high-risk scenarios.

Herbert Reul, the Interior Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, emphasized the importance of the project during the celebrations, stating that realistic preparation is essential for officers to act reliably and ensure public safety during critical incidents.
