Regional updates: Female empowerment in Uganda and drowning in Rwanda

In Rwanda, a 12-year-old child has died after drowning in the Migina River in the Kigembe sector of Gisagara District. Local residents reported the incident after two other children escaped the water. The Rwanda National Police and the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) responded to the scene, and the body was taken to Kibilizi Hospital for examination. Authorities have urged parents to monitor their children closely and avoid river activities during rainy seasons to prevent similar accidents.
