Regional updates on social welfare and institutional oversight in Bosnia and Croatia

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives Slavenko Ristić and Mile Zoranović of the RSS party delivered a donation to Dragoljub Stanišić. The representatives emphasized the need for systemic support for persons with disabilities, including free assistant services, healthcare, and monthly financial assistance. Zoranović stated his intention to advocate for specific employment programs for persons with disabilities within the Vlasenica municipal budget.

In Croatia, Minister of Labor, Pension System, Family and Social Policy Alen Ružić addressed the femicide case in Slatina. Ružić stated that current documentation and interviews with social workers suggest there were no professional failures by social services prior to the murder and subsequent suicide. However, he has ordered extraordinary supervision to gain a more detailed insight into inter-institutional communication and to ensure the protection of the six children left behind by the incident.
