Regional youth sports competitions conclude in Formosa and Corrientes

Regional sports competitions are progressing across Argentina, with provincial phases of major youth games concluding in Formosa and Corrientes.

In Formosa, the provincial taekwondo finals for the Juegos Evita Formoseños were held at the Vialidad Provincial Club. The sub-16 competition saw five female champions, all from Formosa capital, and four male champions representing Formosa and Clorinda. Athletes from Ingeniero Juárez, Clorinda, Laguna Blanca, and Formosa participated in the event.

In Corrientes, the provincial phase of the Juegos Correntinos 2026 has concluded for table tennis, badminton, beach handball, and beach volleyball. These competitions serve as qualifiers for the national games in Mar del Plata. Sports Secretary Jorge Terrile noted that the provincial government has provided resources to support the logistics and organization of these events to encourage early physical activity among youth.
