Regionshospitalet Randers to manage 112 new care beds
As part of a broader healthcare reform, Regionshospitalet Randers will take over the management of 112 health and care beds starting January 1, 2027. These positions will be distributed across eight different locations in Central Jutland and Djursland.
The transition involves moving current municipal acute teams and temporary beds from the Randers, Favrskov, Norddjurs, and Syddjurs municipalities to the hospital’s Citizen-Near Health department. The new beds are intended for citizens who require treatment, care, or rehabilitation but do not need full hospital admission.
Specific locations include facilities in Randers Municipality such as Assentoft, Hospice Randers, and Øster Tørslev. In Norddjurs, the hospital will operate sites in Grenaa and Auning. Additionally, the hospital will manage locations in Tirstrup (Syddjurs) and Solhøj in Hammel (Favrskov). The hospital is currently preparing to integrate approximately 170 new employees from the municipalities.
