Registrations Open for Tiber Skiff International Rowing Regatta in Rome
Registrations have opened for the Tiber Skiff, the first international rowing regatta to be held on the River Tiber in Rome. The competition is the centerpiece of the "We Can Blu it! 2026" program, an initiative by the environmental association piùblu that links sport, ecology and public health.
The event, scheduled for 25‑27 September 2026, is organized in partnership with the Italian Rowing Federation, As Luiss and digital‑innovation firm Almaviva, which serves as the main sponsor. It receives patronage from the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Lazio Region, Rome’s municipal authorities, CONI, the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation, WWF and the Fondazione Marevivo. Media partner Adnkronos and technical sponsors Filippi Boats, Six Senses Roma, Dott and Segafredo also support the regatta.
Athletes from around the world will compete on 26 September along the stretch between Ponte Milvio and Ponte Sant’Angelo, with the Almaviva Blu Race slated for 27 September and inclusive activities involving the Special Olympics. Inspired by Turin’s Silver Skiff, the Tiber Skiff aims to promote sport, environmental education and civic participation while highlighting the Tiber as a shared natural resource.
