Reguengos de Monsaraz and Florianópolis announce road works

Municipalities in Reguengos de Monsaraz and Florianópolis have announced various road maintenance and infrastructure works that will impact local traffic.

In Reguengos de Monsaraz, road mowing and cleaning operations are scheduled between September 10 and September 18. To ensure safety and prevent damage from flying debris or stones, authorities are requesting that vehicles not be parked in several designated areas, including Urbanização Quinta da Luz, Bairro S. João, and various streets such as Rua Dr. Zeca Afonso and Rua Pinheiro Chagas.

In Florianópolis, Avenida da Saudade in the Itacorubi district will undergo partial traffic closures starting Monday, September 14, for approximately 45 days. The work involves elevating a 300-meter section of the road between two bridges to prevent flooding during high tides. This project uses approximately 10,000 tons of rock to raise the road level. During this period, the two left lanes in the direction of the city center will be closed, and cyclists may need to share space with pedestrians as traffic patterns adjust.
