Concerns have been raised regarding the practical application of the law, specifically the use of strict weekly assistance thresholds—18, 24, 30, and 36 hours—to define caregiver profiles. Critics question how qualitative aspects of care, such as nighttime availability and emergencies, can be accurately measured, and note that those exceeding 30 hours of care face incompatibility with employment.
