Rehab director scrutinized following death of Presley Gerber

Investigations are underway following the death of 27-year-old Presley Gerber at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has identified the location of death as a recovery center but has not yet released an official cause. Santa Monica police are investigating the incident as a suspected overdose, noting there is currently no indication of foul play. Toxicology results are expected to be a critical factor in the investigation.

Scrutiny has turned toward Reza Nabavi, the psychologist and founder of Resolutions Living, where the death occurred. Records indicate that Nabavi had two drug-related arrests in 2002 and faced initial difficulties obtaining professional registration due to his criminal history. California Board of Psychology records also show subsequent disciplinary proceedings involving Nabavi. Nabavi specializes in substance-use and mood disorders through his firm, Resolutions Therapeutic Services.
