Rei Ayanami Japanese Doll Figurine from Evangelion Launches Pre‑Order

A 1/4‑scale Japanese doll figurine of Evangelion’s character Rei Ayanami has been released as a collaboration between the traditional doll maker Yoshitoku and the figure manufacturer F:NEX. The product, titled “吉徳×F:NEX 綾波レイ -日本人形- 1/4スケールフィギュア,” commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series and features authentic kimono fabric, detailed sleeves, and accessories such as a fan and umbrella.

Pre‑orders began on 25 July 2026 via the FURYU Hobby Mall, with a price of ¥198,000 (incl. tax) and an expected release in July 2027. The reservation period runs until 15 September 2026. The figure is marketed both as a collectible toy and as a piece of traditional Japanese craft.
