Reçica e Madhe residents dispute water safety warnings
Residents of Reçica e Madhe have strongly rejected warnings regarding the safety of their drinking water, labeling the alerts from NPK Sharri as propaganda. Citizens claim the water is safe for consumption and argue that the warnings are an attempt by NPK Sharri and the municipality to seize control of the local water network.
The residents emphasize that the water supply system was built through private investments exceeding one million euros to bring water from the mountains. They maintain that the network is currently managed by the local community and do not recognize the authority of NPK Sharri over it.
Some residents have shared photos of local water quality tests to support their claims of safety. They have called upon the Institute of Public Health to provide the final official assessment of the water's microbiological and chemical quality, viewing recent warnings as political and administrative pressure to transfer management to a public enterprise.
