Reid Hoffman suggests challenging path for Kamala Harris in 2028

Reid Hoffman, a prominent Democratic megadonor and co-founder of LinkedIn, suggested that former Vice President Kamala Harris would face a “very challenging path” if she pursues a presidential bid in 2028. Speaking at Politico’s Decoded Summit in Washington, D.C., Hoffman noted that the future political field is expected to be “very noisy.”

Speculation regarding Harris’s political future follows her previous campaign and recent comments where she indicated she might consider another run. Adding to the complexity of the 2028 Democratic field, California Governor Gavin Newsom stated he would not run for president if Harris decides to seek the office, describing a primary between the two Californians as “mutually assured destruction.”
