Reimond Manco discusses career and rejected Liga 1 offer
Former Peruvian footballer Reimond Manco recently shared insights into his career and current life during media appearances. While visiting the podcast ‘Fuera de lugar’, Manco addressed past controversies, including a widely publicized 2013 incident where he was filmed being carried after a night out. During the segment, host Óscar ‘Neka’ Vílchez recreated the moment as a joke, which Manco eventually met with humor.
In a separate interview on the program ‘Charla Franca’ with journalist Franco Lostaunau, Manco revealed that he received a late offer to return to professional football. He stated that Agustín Lozano, founder of the club Juan Pablo II, contacted him just one day before the 2026 Liga 1 transfer market closed. Manco chose to decline the proposal, opting instead to focus on his YouTube channel and media work. Having last played for Real Independencia in 2024, the 34-year-old remains distanced from active professional play.
