Reims and Lourdes host summer sound‑and‑light festivals

In the Marne region, the basilica Saint‑Remi in Reims is transformed by the immersive "Luminiscence" show, a night‑time sound‑and‑light spectacle that projects fireworks‑like visuals onto the interior and narrates French royal coronations. The production, created by the Canadian studio Moment Factory, runs nightly from Wednesday to Saturday until 31 August and follows the popular free "Regalia" mapping projected on the façades of the Reims cathedral and Saint‑Remi.

Meanwhile, the pilgrimage town of Lourdes has launched the "Rejoins‑moi, je suis au resto" programme, closing its historic centre to traffic from 18:00 to 02:00. The initiative features concerts, DJ sets, karaoke and a milonga on city squares, encouraging residents and visitors to dine on terraces while enjoying live music throughout the summer season.
