Reinas del Caribe receive RD$10.35 million for gold medal
The Dominican Republic's national women's volleyball team, known as ‘Reinas del Caribe’, received RD$10.35 million in economic incentives following their gold medal victory at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games.
Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, president of the National Volleyball Selection Project, announced that the total amount includes RD$7.6 million in collective prizes and RD$2.75 million in individual awards won by players during the competition. The collective prize was funded through a split contribution: the Dominican government provided RD$3.8 million, and the National Volleyball Selection Project matched that amount.
