Reinbek: Cyclist seriously injured in collision with car
A 37-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Reinbek on Monday morning. The collision occurred shortly before 06:00 near Senefelder-Ring while the cyclist was attempting to cross the roadway from a left-side path toward Sachsenwaldstraße.
The cyclist collided with a Renault traveling toward a roundabout. The impact caused the cyclist to strike the vehicle's right side mirror, hood, and windshield. Emergency services transported the individual to a hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the car, a 59-year-old woman, was uninjured. Police estimate the property damage to be in the mid-four-digit range, and investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
