Reiulf Ramstad receives North Jutland architecture award

Norwegian architect Reiulf Ramstad has been awarded the 2026 Packness Prisen at the Utzon Center in Aalborg. The award recognizes his significant architectural contributions to North Jutland, including designs for Kornets Hus near Hjørring, SMK and the Nature Village in Thy, Diatom on Fur, and an exhibition at the Utzon Center.

Lasse Andersson, chairman of the Packness Foundation, praised Ramstad for his sensitivity to landscapes and his ability to work with the unique environmental conditions of the region. The prize is named in memory of Einar Packness, an architect who left a major mark on North Jutland during the first half of the 20th century. The award has been presented annually in its current form since 2024.
