Rejang Lebong bribery case: Three contractors sentenced to prison

Three contractors have been sentenced to two years in prison by the Bengkulu District Court for their involvement in a bribery scandal concerning public works projects in Rejang Lebong Regency. The defendants, identified as Edi Manggala of CV Manggala Utama, Youki Yusdiantoro of CV Alpagger Abadi, and Irsyad Satria Budiman of PT Statika Mitra Sarana, were found guilty of providing money and goods to secure work packages.

The bribes were directed to the former Regent of Rejang Lebong, Muhammad Fikri Thobari, through the former Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Area Department, Hary Eko Purnomo. The illicit activities were related to project procurement for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. In addition to the prison terms, each contractor was ordered to pay a fine of Rp100 million.
