Rejang Lebong police escort students following potential robbery threat

Two female university students received a police escort after feeling they were being followed by unidentified individuals while traveling on the Curup-Lubuklinggau highway in Rejang Lebong Regency on Sunday, August 9, 2026.

The students, traveling from Lubuklinggau to Curup on a motorcycle, sought assistance from Sat Samapta Polres Rejang Lebong personnel during a routine patrol. Police provided an escort to ensure their safe arrival at their destination.

AKP Sinar Simanjuntak, Head of Samapta Polres Rejang Lebong, stated that patrols are conducted daily at high-risk and crowded locations to prevent street crime and provide security for the community.
