Rejowiec Fabryczny implements new spatial development plan

The municipality of Rejowiec Fabryczny has completed its general spatial development plan, a requirement following the 2023 spatial planning reform. The plan divides the administrative area into 12 planning zones, including multi-functional zones, single-family housing, multi-family housing, and service zones.

The strategy focuses on maintaining the continuity of existing settlement structures to prevent uncontrolled urban sprawl into agricultural lands. This approach is driven by demographic forecasts predicting a significant population decline in the municipality, with residents expected to drop from 3,869 to approximately 3,073 over the next 20 years. Consequently, new housing development will be concentrated within existing built-up areas to match the projected demand for approximately 350 to 650 new residents.
