Rejowiec Fabryczny teacher award controversy

Controversy has emerged in Rejowiec Fabryczny regarding the distribution of financial awards for National Education Day. While the highest reported award for teachers and directors in Poland was approximately 10,400 PLN gross in Wrocław, reports from local residents suggest a teacher in Rejowiec Fabryczny may have received 14,000 PLN gross.

According to informants, the mayor reportedly distributed awards to three teachers: two received 7,000 PLN gross, while one received 14,000 PLN gross. The larger award has caused significant local debate because the recipient was reportedly not among the five candidates recommended by the school. The school had originally proposed candidates including mathematics, Polish, and English teachers, a choir supervisor, and an Erasmus project coordinator based on student exam results.

Local sources suggest the recipient of the highest award had actively supported the mayor during a referendum. The Mayor's office has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the specific amounts or the selection process.
