Rejsekort faces scrutiny over data privacy and accessibility

The Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) has concluded its two-year investigation into the Rejsekort app, finding insufficient grounds to issue criticism regarding the processing of personal data.

Separately, the Danish Association of the Blind (Dansk Blindesamfund) has filed a formal complaint with the Danish Business Authority and the Danish Transport Authority. The complaint alleges that the new yellow Checkpoint stands used for the physical Basic Card do not comply with accessibility laws. The association states that the touchscreens lack tactile elements, text-to-speech functionality, and sufficient color contrast, preventing blind and visually impaired travelers from using the service independently.
