Rekha Gupta flags off Tiranga Yatra in New Delhi

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organized the Tiranga Yatra in Connaught Place on Monday, August 17, 2026. Approximately 6,000 participants, including students, employees, and local citizens, joined the march as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off the event from the Janpath Radial at the Inner Circle. During her address, Gupta described the yatra as a collective expression of patriotism and a commitment to the ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision. She emphasized the importance of youth involvement in sectors such as education, technology, and artificial intelligence to drive national development.

NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal noted that the march completed a full circuit of the Connaught Place Inner Circle before concluding.
