Relay debuts Relay Q AI voice device at IFA 2026
American startup Relay has introduced Relay Q, a new hardware device designed to transform voice into a professional productivity tool. Unveiled at the IFA 2026 trade fair in Berlin, the device aims to overcome the limitations of traditional voice dictation.
Unlike conventional systems that immediately convert speech to text, Relay utilizes a multimodal artificial intelligence model. This approach preserves contextual elements such as pauses, hesitations, and changes in tone. The software, which is also available on macOS, can integrate information from the user's active applications and screen content to better interpret intent. Additionally, the system features long-term memory to adapt to specific terminology and individual communication habits.
