Relebohile Mofokeng attracts interest from major European clubs
South African attacker Relebohile Mofokeng is attracting significant interest from major European football clubs following a successful start to his career in Belgium. The 21-year-old, who joined Royale Union Saint-Gilloise from Orlando Pirates in July 2026 for a reported fee of €3.5 million, has quickly adapted to the Jupiler Pro League.
According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Mofokeng is being closely monitored by Chelsea, Brighton, Atletico Madrid, and Napoli. His impact at Union Saint-Gilloise includes four goals and one assist in nine appearances across all competitions, including a notable performance in the UEFA Europa League.
In addition to his club success, Mofokeng has continued to perform for the South African national team, Bafana Bafana, recently scoring twice in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Eritrea. Analysts have praised his playing intelligence and ability to use space to compensate for his smaller stature.
