Relebohile Mofokeng signs with Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise
South African forward Relebohile Mofokeng, 21, has left Orlando Pirates to join Belgian champions Union Saint‑Gilloise on a four‑year contract running to 2030, with an option for an additional year. Union paid a reported €3 million (about US$3.4 million) for the transfer after Mofokeng impressed at the FIFA World Cup playing for Bafana Bafana.
The move is the headline transfer in Orlando Pirates’ squad overhaul, with the club confirming the departure of 12 players ahead of the new season. Mofokeng’s exit marks the latest academy graduate to secure a European contract, while the remaining departures include several domestic moves and one transfer to Iraq.
