Reliance Industries stock slides as investors await Q1 earnings and Jio IPO

Reliance Industries' shares traded at ₹1,295.60, down about 0.1% on the day, hovering near the lower end of their 52‑week range. The move comes ahead of the company's board meeting on July 17, where it will present unaudited Q1 results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The market is also focused on the digital arm, Jio Platforms, which has appointed Pankaj Pawar as its new CEO and is preparing a $4 billion initial public offering; draft IPO documents were filed with SEBI in June. Jio Financial Services is scheduled to release its own first‑quarter results on July 16.

Reliance warned that continued geopolitical tensions in West Asia and macro‑economic volatility make the outlook for FY27 highly uncertain, and it flagged subdued retail demand due to a shift in the festive calendar and a recent demerger of consumer‑product businesses. These factors have kept the stock near its 52‑week low and contributed to an 18% decline in share price year‑to‑date.
