Reliance launches Bombay Creamery ice cream brand in India
Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL) has entered the Indian ice cream market with the launch of its new brand, Bombay Creamery. Positioned as an accessible premium dairy brand, the products are made with real dairy cream.
The product range includes various formats such as cones, cups, tubs, bars, and sticks. In a move mirroring the company’s previous aggressive pricing strategies with Campa Cola, Bombay Creamery will feature starting prices as low as INR 10.
Initial sales are focused on Western India, though the company plans to implement a nationwide rollout using its existing distribution network and retail presence. The launch places Reliance in direct competition with established domestic players like Amul, Vadilal, and Mother Dairy, as well as international brands.
