Relic Entertainment delays Company of Heroes: Definitive Edition to 2027
Relic Entertainment has announced that the release of ‘Company of Heroes: Definitive Edition’ has been delayed until early 2027. Originally expected in autumn 2026, the new release date was shared via social media.
Developed in partnership with Blackbird Interactive, the Definitive Edition is not a full remake but an update built on a 64-bit platform. It will include the original game along with the ‘Opposing Fronts’ and ‘Tales of Valor’ expansions, featuring three complete campaigns and over fifty multiplayer maps.
Technical improvements include enhanced lighting, shadows, reflections, water, textures, and draw distance. Gameplay updates feature improved artificial intelligence, a higher difficulty mode, and new vehicle mechanics. Despite these changes, the developers confirmed that all community-created mods from the last two decades will remain compatible. The title will be available on Steam for €28.99, with a 30% discount offered to existing owners of the original game.
