Religious and academic leaders convene in Arad and Timișoara

Religious and academic leaders in Romania recently convened for significant events focused on theology, history, and education. In Arad, religious education teachers from all denominations held a consultative meeting at the ‘Ilarion V. Felea’ Orthodox Theology Faculty. The session included discussions on the current challenges and future perspectives of religious education in Romania and Europe, as well as the formative responsibility of religious teachers within the school community.

Simultaneously, the 5th International Symposium ‘History, Culture, and Spirituality in Banat’ took place in Timișoara. Organized by the Banat Metropolis, the Timișoara branch of the Romanian Academy, and the ‘Ioan Oprea’ Cultural-Philanthropic Association, the event brought together theologians, historians, and researchers. The symposium addressed themes such as Christian family life, patristic perspectives on family matters, and the history of religious persecution in the Arad Diocese between 1948 and 1953.
