Religious and historical commemorations in Greece

Various religious and historical events are being observed across Greece. In Rethymno, a high-ranking multi-hierarchical service was held at the Holy Church of the Four Holy Neomartyrs to honor Angelis, Manouil, Georgios, and Nikolaos, who died for their faith and the freedom of Crete. The ceremony was attended by local political and military authorities, including Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and Vice President Kostis Hatzidakis.

In Volos, the Holy Metropolis of Demetriadis will celebrate the feast of the Holy Anargyroi, Cosmas and Damian, on November 1. The celebrations include a Great Panegyrical Vespers and a Divine Liturgy, alongside a voluntary blood donation drive to support the local Church's blood bank.

Additionally, the cancellation of the 3rd Saint Demetrios Health Road Race in Thessaloniki has been announced by the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki due to forecasted rainfall, prioritizing the safety of participants and volunteers.
