Religious and historical seminars held in Italy

The Diocese of Ventimiglia-San Remo held a missionary vigil at the San Rocco parish in Vallecrosia to prepare for the 100th World Mission Day. The event featured testimony from Father Ramzi Saadé, a Franco-Lebanese priest based in Paris who assists Muslims transitioning to Catholicism through the Ananie service. Bishop Antonio Suetta emphasized a pastoral approach focused on charity, consistent Christian witness, and respectful religious announcement, drawing inspiration from Saint Francis.

In Ventotene, a seminar titled ‘The Contribution of Catholics to European Integration’ is scheduled for October 17, 2026. Organized by the Fondazione Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Gaeta and other institutions, the event will examine the historical role of Catholic figures such as De Gasperi, Schuman, and Adenauer in the post-war European integration process. The seminar aims to explore the connections between Catholic thought and the Ventotene Manifesto, highlighting how shared inspirations helped drive Europe toward federalism and the overcoming of nationalism.
