Religious brotherhoods in Spain announce extraordinary processions

Several religious brotherhoods in Spain are preparing for significant extraordinary processions. In Jaén, the Hermandad de la Buena Muerte has scheduled a solemn procession for October 3. The event will include public veneration of the Santísimo Cristo de la Buena Muerte at the Jaén Cathedral, followed by a mass and a procession through the historic district. A key moment of the event will be a devotional encounter in the Plaza de San Ildefonso with the Virgen de la Capilla.

In La Rambla, the Hermandad de la Esperanza will hold a solemn extraordinary procession on October 10, 2026, to commemorate the first centenary of its creation. The itinerary includes a first-time visit to the Las Casas Nuevas neighborhood and a reunion with the Virgen de los Dolores at the convent. The celebration will feature a seasonal mass and musical accompaniment by the Asociación Musical Écijana.
