Religious celebrations held for patron saints in Baeza and Sepúlveda

Religious celebrations took place in Baeza and Sepúlveda as local patron saints were honored through coronations and processions.

In Baeza, the Virgen del Alcázar received a Pontifical Canonical Coronation during a solemn Eucharist presided over by the Bishop of Jaén, Sebastián Chico Martínez. The event, attended by more than 7,000 faithful, included a procession through Paseo de la Constitución and musical performances by the Banda Sinfónica Ciudad de Baeza and soprano Ainhoa Arteta. Following the reading of the pontifical document, the Bishop crowned both the Niño Jesús and the Virgen del Alcázar.

In Sepúlveda, the community commemorated the 30th anniversary of the coronation of the Virgen de la Peña. The celebration included an Eucharist at the sanctuary's exterior led by the Bishop of Segovia, Jesús Vidal, followed by a procession through the town's main streets. The event drew participants from the nearly 50 towns comprising the Comunidad de Villa y Tierra, featuring traditional music and floral arches.
