Religious celebrations honor Saint Michael the Archangel in Italy
Religious celebrations honoring Saint Michael the Archangel have taken place in different Italian locations.
In Maddaloni, the Santa Maria del Carmine church hosted an event as part of the ‘Project of Faith, Art and Culture’. The ceremony included the blessing of a statue of Saint Michael the Archangel, donated by the Di Lillo-Ignarra family. The event was attended by the local mayor, Andrea De Filippo, and priest Don Edoardo Santo, and featured musical performances organized by the A. Barchetta Association.
In Massafra, festivities concluded with a ceremony and procession marking the 300th year of the saint's patronage. Presided over by Bishop Sabino Iannuzzi, the celebration included a traditional offering of oil for the votive lamp by Mayor Giancarla Zaccaro. The event featured a symbolic meeting between the statues of Saint Michael and the SS. Medici in Piazza Garibaldi.
