Religious celebrations scheduled for Fátima and Braga in October
The Sanctuary of Fátima will host its International Anniversary Pilgrimage on October 12 and 13. Archbishop of Braga, José Cordeiro, will preside over the celebrations, which commemorate the final apparition of Our Lady of Fátima in 1917. The program includes a Eucharistic Procession, the Candlelight Procession, a vigil of prayer, and an International Mass.
In Braga, the Brazilian community will celebrate the sixth edition of the Feast of Our Lady of Aparecida, the patron saint of Brazil, on October 12 at the Church of Nossa Senhora do Pópulo. This event aims to unite Brazilian residents with Portuguese faithful through prayer and cultural connection. Additionally, Guimarães will host a dedicated celebration on October 11, organized by the Missionary Center and the Pastoral of Human Mobility of the Archdiocese of Braga.
