Religious ceremonies mark start of new educational and catechetical programs in Greece

Various religious and educational ceremonies have marked the start of new seasonal programs in Greece. In Paramythia, a blessing ceremony was held for the opening of the new academic year at the SAEK dairy farming training department. This initiative, supported by the Municipality of Souli and local ecclesiastical representatives, aims to provide professional training in dairy production to support the local economy and regional identity.

In Alexandroupolis, the Holy Metropolis held a joint blessing ceremony for its Catechetical Schools at the Panagia tou Evrou Monastery in Makri. Attended by over 300 students from across the Metropolis, the event marked the first time the schools gathered for a unified assembly rather than separate parish ceremonies. The program included religious instruction, organized games, and a communal meal to foster unity among the youth.
