Religious commemorations and new church construction in Croatia

In Belišće, believers gathered at the cemetery chapel dedicated to Mala Gospa to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The service, led by Father Tomislav Sabađija, focused on themes of humility and divine intervention within an imperfect world.

In Turnj, construction has commenced on a new church to accommodate growing religious needs. This will be the first church in Croatia dedicated to Blessed Miroslav Bulešić. The project is supported by the parish, the Zadar Archdiocese, and the Municipality of Sveti Filip i Jakov, which donated the land in 2020. The new structure, designed by architect Ana Čirjak, will feature 220 seats and a parish hall, providing much-needed space for the community as the existing 1737 church can no longer hold all worshippers.
