Religious commemorations and restorations in Zamora and Salamanca

In Zamora, the Hermandad Penitencial de Nuestro Señor Jesús de Luz y Vida has announced a week of commemorative events from October 30 to November 7, 2026. The program, dedicated to honoring the deceased, includes the exhibition of the brotherhood's titular image in the cemetery chapel, the recitation of the Holy Rosary at the San Atilano cemetery on November 2, and a Holy Eucharist at the Iglesia del Tránsito on November 7.

In Salamanca, the Hermandad Dominicana has officially returned the sculpture of Cristo de la Buena Muerte to public veneration at the Convento de San Esteban. The image was recently restored by technicians from the Fundación Las Edades del Hombre following damage sustained during the previous Lent. The restoration allowed the piece to return to its usual place after being unable to participate in the recent Holy Week processions.
