Religious commemorations and vows within Franciscan orders
The Catholic Church commemorates the feast day of Blessed Bonaventure of Potenza, an Italian Franciscan Conventual priest born in 1651. Known as the ‘saint of obedience,’ he was recognized for his mystical gifts and his dedication to serving the poor and the sick during plague outbreaks in southern Italy.
In Zagreb, Fra Patrik Mežnarić made his solemn lifelong religious vows in the Third Order of Saint Francis (Glagoljasi). The ceremony took place at the Church of Saint Francis Xavier, presided over by Provincial Fra Branko Lovrić. Mežnarić, who holds degrees in electrical engineering and philosophy-theology, officially became a full member of the community following his novitiate in Krk.
