Religious commemorations held in Croatia for charitable figures
Religious commemorations are underway in Croatia honoring figures of charitable service. In Slatina, a three-day prayer service has begun to mark the anniversary of the death of Mother Marija Krucifiksa Kozulić. As the founder of the Society of the Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and various charitable institutions in Rijeka, Kozulić is currently undergoing a beatification process.
In Rijeka, Archbishop Mate Uzinić led a Mass celebrating St. Vincent de Paul, the patron of Christian charity. During the service, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of translating faith into action by serving those suffering from material poverty, loneliness, illness, and social marginalization. He highlighted the ongoing work of the Sisters of Charity and the De Paul Association in supporting the homeless and vulnerable populations.
