Religious commemorations held in Rapoltu Mare and Ohaba

Several religious commemorations recently took place in Romania. In Rapoltu Mare, Priest Mircea Costa was honored for 30 years of priesthood at the ‘Saint George’ Parish. The ceremony included anniversary diplomas from the Lugoj Greek Catholic Diocese and the Orăștie Protopopiat. The event was attended by clergy, local officials, and parishioners.

In Ohaba, a service was held to mark the centenary of the birth of Bishop Ioan Mihălțan, the former hierarch of the Diocese of Oradea, Bihor, and Sălaj. Archbishop Irineu of Alba Iulia officiated the liturgy and presented a commemorative volume titled ‘Bishop Ioan Mihălțan, a loving father and devoted servant of the ancient Church’. The event also coincided with the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the ‘Saint Hierarch Nicholas’ church in Ohaba.
