Religious commemorations scheduled in Colombia and Venezuela

Various religious commemorations are scheduled in Colombia and Venezuela. In Colombia, the regional channel Telecaribe will provide a live broadcast of the Central Mass in honor of Santo Tomás de Villanueva on September 18 at 10:00 AM. Telecaribe General Manager Ismael Fernández Gámez announced that a technical team of approximately 30 people and mobile units will be deployed to ensure the ceremony reaches viewers across the Caribbean region.

In Venezuela, the Archdiocese of Valencia will hold an archdiocesan Eucharist on September 6 at 11:00 AM at the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The service commemorates the 82nd anniversary of the martyrdom of Monsignor Salvador Montes de Oca, the second Bishop of Valencia. The mass, presided over by Archbishop Jesús González de Zárate, honors Montes de Oca’s legacy of defending persecuted individuals during World War II and seeks to support his ongoing beatification process.
