Religious communities announce upcoming celebrations and social justice events

Various religious community events and celebrations have been announced across different regions. In Portugal, the Pastoral Unit of Proença-a-Nova, Peral, and São Pedro do Esteval will hold celebrations for the 26th Sunday of Ordinary Time. In Brazil, the Episcopal Region of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres has scheduled the 18th Festa da Vida for December 13, 2026. Taking place at the São José Operário Parish in Araturi, Caucaia, the event will focus on the theme ‘Dignity Cries Out for Justice: Housing, a Fundamental Right’. The gathering aims to promote reflection on access to adequate housing as a component of social justice and human dignity, bringing together various church movements and civil society representatives.
