Religious festivities for Nossa Senhora Aparecida announced in Brazil
Various religious communities in Brazil are preparing for the festivities of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, the patron saint of Brazil.
In Itabuna, the Paróquia Nossa Senhora Aparecida has announced its 2026 novena and festival schedule, which will run from October 3 to October 12. The theme for the celebrations is “Com Maria, em comunidade, conhecer e praticar a Palavra”. The program includes daily reflections on religious themes, the Holy Rosary, and community gatherings.
In Foz do Iguaçu, a pilgrim image of Nossa Senhora Aparecida arrived on September 27 from Aparecida, São Paulo. The image will remain in the city until October 12 as part of the novena and festival organized by the Paróquia Espírito Santo e Nossa Senhora Aparecida. The festivities include processions, multiple daily masses, and a celebratory lunch on October 11. Local authorities expect thousands of faithful to participate in the various scheduled religious activities.
