Religious figures visit Shusha as large tribal wedding occurs in Turkey

Azerbaijani religious figures from Turkey, Georgia, and Iraq visited Shusha to observe historical and religious sites. The delegation visited Cidir Düzü, where they were briefed on the role of Azerbaijani soldiers during the 44-day Patriotic War. They also toured the Upper and Lower Govhar Agha mosques, the Shusha Fortress, and the Victory Monument. During the visit, officials highlighted the destruction of religious and historical monuments during the occupation period.

In Turkey, a large-scale wedding for the Pinyanişi tribe took place at the foot of the Cilo Mountains, attended by approximately 15,000 people from across Turkey, Iraq, and Iran. The event was noted for its emphasis on social unity and a lack of ostentatious displays, such as traditional jewelry ceremonies, in alignment with current regional sensitivities. Tribal leaders Ali İhsan Zeydan and Teoman Zeydan spoke about the importance of brotherhood between Turks, Kurds, and Arabs, emphasizing a desire for peace and stability.
